Chesterfield Gives Back Mission Statement

Chesterfield Gives Back was established to provide a means for our community to give thanks to those who serve us, our First Responders. This is accomplished by taking charitable donations and funding events, such as the First Responder Appreciation Day, that are free to First Responders and their families. In addition, we facilitate many other means of recognition and thanks for those who serve our community and those in need.

First Responder Appreciation Day

Chesterfield Gives Back organizes what is called the First Responder Appreciation Day. This is a day that Chesterfield County First Responders and their families are invited out to enjoy free BBQ, kids activities, live music and free give aways. This is all made possible by generous donations from our community members and local businesses. It is the community's way of giving back and saying "thanks" to those who serve us. Here is some attendee feedback from previous year's event:

"It was perfect in so many ways"

"you all treated us like Kings and Queens!"

"There was so much energy and positivity in the air, it was truly amazing!"

"We truly feel the love and support."

"I have worked for the police department for over 30 years, and I have to say that was the best event I have attended."

"the turnout and outpouring of support received that day was tremendous!!"

Through growth we will expand our efforts by hosting other events and finding unique ways to recognize those who serve our community.

Public Safety Recognition

We use donations to recognize our local public safety members who go above and beyond the call of duty.

Officer Leslie Deluca

CGB President, Adam, and board member, Elizabeth, made a trip out to Officer Leslie Deluca’s home this morning. In addition to handing over a $2,500 check, they were able to spend some quality time with Officer Deluca, her mother and good friend, Sandie. Officer Deluca was in good spirits and extremely grateful for the contributions of CGB supporters and donors. While Officer Deluca’s fight is not over, we hope that she now knows there are a lot of folks rooting for her.

Bella

When we went to drop the check off for Officer Deluca, we had the pleasure of meeting her rescue companion Bella. While there we learned that Bella was in need of an ACL surgery. Knowing the importance of Officer Deluca having Bella by her side during her battle we decided to do something. With the help of our amazing supporters and donors we were able to cover half of the cost associated to Bella's surgery.

Officer Trey Sutton

In honor of Officer Trey Sutton, a Chesterfield native and Henrico Police Officer, we donated $3,500 to his loved ones to assist with the challenges associated to his passing.
